Stocks impacted: Airbus (AIR)
The European plane maker said Tuesday that it has decided to pause production at its French and Spanish sites for the next four days because of the COVID-19 virus as governments there implement new measures to restrict movements and fight the coronavirus outbreak. The company said the decision would allow it to evaluate and apply hygiene, cleaning and self-distancing measures in a bid to tackle the spread of coronavirus. The plane maker also highlighted that it will allow employees to work from home where possible. Airbus’s stock price has fallen 45% since the beginning of March. On Monday, shares finished 7.17% lower amid a widespread sell-off on Wall Street.
