Boeing defends its franchise
Boeing said on Wednesday that it had developed software fixes to prevent failures of an automated flight control system that is being scrutinized after two deadly crashes in the past five months. The company acknowledged that new software in its jets could have played a role in two deadly crashes.

The company’s official said the they are going to do everything that we can do to ensure that accidents like these never happen again. The Federal Aviation Authority said it had not reviewed or certified the software upgrade yet. Earlier, Boeing said a final version of the software would be submitted to the FAA by the end of the week. Boeing shares rose nearly 13% on Wednesday.
