A partial Facebook outage affecting users around the world has stretched beyond 14 hours – the social network's biggest-ever interruption. Some users of Facebook and other platforms owned by the tech giant — including Instagram, Messenger and WhatsApp — reported intermittent problems accessing the services and posting content.

The problems began Wednesday afternoon, forcing Facebook to provide an explanation and said that the company was working to resolve the issue as soon as possible. This disruption will likely upset advertisers spending a lot of money to teach potential customers on Facebook platforms. The stock had closed Wednesday’s session higher by 0.84%, and will inevitably go lower today.
