Shell launches first electric vehicle chargers in Singapore
Royal Dutch Shell is launching electric vehicle chargers at petrol stations in Singapore, its first such foray in Southeast Asia.
The charging service, Shell Recharge, will be available in 10 Shell gas stations in the city-state by October this year

For S$0.55per kWh, the chargers typically provide from 0 per cent to 80 per cent charge in about 30 minutes. At that, customers would not have to pay connection fees. According to Aw Kah Peng, the country chairperson of Shell Companies in Singapore, the company plans to make more of such low-carbon energy solutions available in Singapore in the following months and years. The company’s shares are rising 1.30% during the early trading on Monday.
